Job summary

A community engagement organization in Singapore is looking for a Full-Time Volunteer Manager to lead volunteer management and community engagement initiatives. The candidate will manage volunteers across various locations, conduct training, and foster partnerships with corporate and community partners. Job Purpose

The person will be part of the Volunteer and Community Engagement team in Care Corner to lead and support our volunteer management their development and community engagement in the SG Cares Volunteer Centre @ Tampines Toa Payoh & Woodlands.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Volunteer Management and Development
  • Work with team lead and the team to manage and develop volunteers in the town of Tampines Toa Payoh & Woodlands using our Volunteer Management Framework
  • Resource Recruit Retain Review and sustain a growing community of regular and ad‑hoc volunteers in the town of Tampines Toa Payoh & Woodlands
  • Conduct training and workshops for staff and volunteer;
  • Lead the onboarding training and supervision of volunteers;
  • Train and develop current and potential volunteer leaders and build a vibrant community of volunteers and a sustainable pool of volunteer leaders using our Volunteer Leadership Framework;
  • Be the liaison person between volunteers volunteer groups and our service points or town partners;
  • Work with Corporates to shape their CSR programmes and engage them as active volunteers in the community;
  • Work with school leaders and students to ensure that schools Values in Action programmes are meaningful and impactful for the community;
  • Engage Religious Organisations to activate their volunteers for the community;
  • Ensure data integrity and use the Volunteer and Partner Relationship Management System to provide regular and timely reports to management and funders.
Community Engagement
  • Meet and engage with corporate and community partners in the town to grow our network of community partners;
  • Collaborate with service heads and community partners to identify volunteer opportunities that address community needs;
  • Facilitate and broker partnerships among community partners to meet the needs of the community;
  • Maintain and keep track of our community assets map;
  • Ensure accurate and timely KPI tracking and reporting;
  • Support Care Corners Central Region Care Community Network meetings and activities.
General
  • Ability to function as an effective individual contributor and team player
  • Strong stakeholders management and people skills
  • Be an effective conduit of information between all relevant working parties
  • Independent pro‑active as a team player able to work in a fast‑paced environment
Minimum Qualifications & Technical/Professional Skills
  • Minimum Degree in any disciplines
  • At least 3‑5 years experience.
  • Has experience in managing volunteers in personal capacity as a volunteer or staff for corporates charities or non‑profit organizations.
  • Has experience in conceptualizing planning and running a voluntary programme in the community or organization.
  • Able to produce good presentation decks
  • Able to manage spreadsheets
  • Able to use Microsoft Office
  • Able to use Salesforce as a VMS
