Job summary

Qualifications

Job description
What you will be working on:

You will be part of the dynamic team under PUB’s Building Plan Division that reviews plan submissions for proposed developments so as to safeguard water resources, public health and against flood risks. Your main roles and responsibilities include:

  • Review and process submissions made by Qualified Persons (QPs) / Licensed Plumbers (LPs) for sanitary, sewerage, drainage and water service installation works in accordance with PUB’s Code of Practice and relevant Singapore Standards;
  • Collaborate with PUB departments and other agencies for review of submissions;
  • Provide public consultations to QPs / LPs / inter‑agency groups to clarify on PUB’s requirements for submissions;
  • Conduct briefings to the industry to educate them on building plan submission requirements, policies and regulatory requirements;
  • Review work processes to achieve better regulatory outcomes and compliance checking;
  • Address public’s enquiries and feedback (e.g. telephone/ email) in relation to plan submissions.
What we are looking for:
  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental)
  • Good analytical, writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • Meticulous and attentive to details
  • Self‑motivated, and able to work independently and in a team effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Preferably with knowledge in computer application software such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and/or DWG software (e.g. Autodesk Design Review, Autodesk DWG TrueView, Bentley View)
