Job summary

A leading maritime and engineering firm in Singapore seeks a professional for a critical role within the Commercial Department. This position serves as the key contact with clients and internal stakeholders during all project phases. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in ship repairs and a diploma in relevant engineering fields. Strong skills in project budgeting and invoicing are essential. Familiarity with SAP or Salesforce is preferred, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in the field of ship repairs or shipyard.
  • Diploma in Engineering required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

  • Attend VSCC meeting and progress meeting on board vessel.
  • Submit and agree prices for all additional works based on manhours and materials.
  • Monitor, track and report project budget and P&L on a weekly basis.

Job Summary

Plays a critical role within the Commercial Department as the key point of contact with external clients, as well as internal stakeholders - production, subcon, purchasing, finance - during the project life cycle. Performs the key role of capturing all the planned and additional works and billing clients in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Attend VSCC meeting and progress meeting on board vessel.
  2. Inspection of additional works with trades / SRM / subcontractor / Owner .
  3. Submit and agree prices for all additional works, based on manhours, materials and subcontractor, before commencement of work.
  4. Submit weekly cost update to owner.
  5. Prepare part payment invoice and follow up with remittance.
  6. Negotiation and settlement of final repair invoice with owner / Tech Supt
  7. Monitor, track and report project budget and P&L on a weekly basis
  8. Project Costing/Revenue reporting to Finance for Month end closing.
  9. Any other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time
