Job summary

A renowned educational institution in Singapore is looking for a motivated individual to join their Alumni Engagement team. The role involves coordinating alumni operations, managing social media content, and providing support for events. Candidates should possess a diploma in Business/Marketing or Events Management, alongside proficiency in MS Office and graphic design tools. This is an 11-month temporary contract position with opportunities to engage with various stakeholders and improve alumni relations.

Job description

The appointee will be part of the team from Singapore Polytechnic’s Industry & Partnership’s Department. He/she will support programmes and initiatives for the Alumni portfolio, as well as coordinate engagements and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on operations and delivery of projects.

What you will be working on
  • Liaise and coordinate with various committees and schools on Alumni Engagements
  • Be responsible for key alumni operations, such as:
    • Secretariat duties
    • Data handling /maintenance
    • Assist in coordinating monthly eNews
    • Curate, review and post contents for SP Alumni social media accounts
    • Provide support for events implementation, including sourcing for quotations and liaising with vendors and relevant stakeholders
    • Primary contact for alumni email enquiries
    • Design relevant alumni collaterals
    • May be assigned other related duties, as required
What we are looking for
  • Preferably at least 1-2 years of work experience
  • Possess a Diploma or Advanced Diploma minimally, preferably in Business/Marketing, Events Management
  • Proficiency with MS Office / Digital content at an intermediate level, in particular
    • Excel Data Analysis and Automation;
    • Graphic Design and Digital Content Creation Artwork, eg. Canva/Adobe Suite; and
    • Proficiency in Data Visualization and Workflow Automation for Design would be a bonus.
  • Responsible, meticulous and highly organised individual with the ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
  • Possess strong interpersonal, written and communication skills, with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
