The candidate will drive Central Industrial Engineering Team across all STMicroelectronics EWS Manufacturing Sites worldwide.

Role Overview

The Back-End Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the Sales and Operations Planning (SNOP) and Execution (SNOE) processes, ensuring robust capacity planning and operational excellence within the Back End manufacturing environment (EWS). This role requires strong leadership in capacity management, resource optimization, lean culture deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Operations Process Leadership: Lead and actively contribute to the Sales and Operations Planning (SNOP) and Sales and Operations Execution (SNOE) processes; Ensure alignment and integration between capacity planning and operational execution.
  • Capacity Planning Accountability: Own the Local Capacity Requirement Planning (LCRP) systems and their integration across EWS steps; Ensure robustness and accuracy of the SNOP process at the EWS level (capacity wise); Act as the capacity guardian for EWS, including sustaining governance frameworks, managing capacity disputes, monitoring and supporting critical ramp-up activities at the organizational level.
  • Operational Recommendations: Provide timely, accurate, and actionable information and recommendations to support plant operations and strategic decision-making; Support tool evolution planning to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Resource Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize resource utilization by establishing and enforcing manufacturing standards; Drive continuous improvement projects focused on manufacturing and service excellence, including space utilization, equipment performance, and direct labor productivity enhancements.
  • Data Integrity & Change Management: Evaluate and ensure data integrity within tactical and strategic Back End tools supporting supply chain processes; Manage change requests effectively to maintain system accuracy and relevance.
  • Lean Culture Deployment: Champion the deployment and sustainment of Lean principles across all Back End and EWS organizations; Define and maintain the Plan of Record (POR) for Lean implementation; Model Lean behaviors and lead related training, process development, tracking, and communication efforts.
  • Global Direct Labor (DL) Headcount Management: Oversee forecasting and productivity project management related to global direct labor resources.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, specifically within Semiconductor back-end manufacturing environments.
  • Industrial Engineering Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices, with proven application in manufacturing settings.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, capacity planning tools, and change management processes.
  • Lean Methodology: Experience in deploying and sustaining Lean manufacturing principles and culture.
