Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Environmental Control Officer in Singapore. The role requires overseeing compliance with environmental regulations, coordinating environmental control programs, and maintaining documentation. Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, be a NEA registered ECO, and possess at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry. A strong understanding of environmental law is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Candidate must be a NEA registered ECO.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the building construction industry, with an FSM certificate an advantage.
  • Must have professional knowledge of the law and regulations of Environment Acts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance of the Permit to Work system and explain its importance.
  • Coordinate Environmental Control Committee meetings and implement environmental control programs.
  • Maintain mandatory records and documentation required by regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure operational compliance with NEA and EHS regulations.
  • Prepare Site Environmental Control Reports regularly.
  • Conduct environmental audits and investigations.
  • Develop environmental control plans and monitor their completion.

Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
  • Monitor strict compliance of the “Permit to Work” system at worksite and explain its importance to workers during safety talk/tool box meetings.
  • Coordinate Environmental Control Committee meetings and implement all environmental control programs.
  • Maintain mandatory records and other documentation required by regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance of operations with NEA and EHS regulations.
  • Prepare Site Environmental Control Reports on a regular basis.
  • Conduct environmental control audits and investigations.
  • Maintain environmental requirements in line with OHSAS.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, develop environmental control plans, site clean‑up plans, and monitor their completion.
  • Able to maintain environmental requirements in line with OHSAS click apply.
