Job description

"I touch the future. I teach." - Christa McAuliffe

Are you a dedicated and creative educator with a passion for nurturing the next generation of thinkers and writers? At English Ninjas, we are more than just a tuition center; we are a team committed to making a positive impact through intellectual and emotional growth. If you are a teacher who:

  • is a master of your craft,
  • has a deep passion for people,
  • wants to see their students grow and find their own voice, and
  • believes in fostering a love for learning by encouraging creative and critical thinking,
  • then come and join us, because this is who we are too!

We are looking for people who take ownership of their work, while supporting one-another in a close-knit community. We build relationships with our students and their families, and are dedicated to their success - holistically, and beyond grades.

What joining us lets you do:
  • Effectively focus on your students’ needs because we have small class sizes driven by education, not profit
  • Unleash your creativity when you design and prepare materials, special projects and workshops – from found poetry to essays about learning from roosters to custom designed supermarket milk cartons!
  • Pursue the mastery of your craft, so that you are always growing and never stationary
  • Be part of a team who support each other and care about what they do
What will you be doing if you are hired for this role:
  • Develop curriculum, materials and online content
  • Observe, listen, review and learn new things - and then go on to share them with others
  • Teach 9 to 12 classes a week (including cover classes), at one or more locations in Singapore
  • Maintain communication with parents to support students’ learning
What you need to have before you can apply to join us:
  • A personality that is detail-oriented and takes pride in your work, with the energy to match a room full of 10-year-olds!
  • At least 5 years of experience in teaching MOE syllabus in a classroom setting
  • PGDE(NIE) and a Degree (local or overseas)
  • Proficiency with IT tools, such as Google Suite, MS Office, Zoom, as well as various web and mobile apps
  • Ability to work four weekdays and at least one weekend day
  • Singapore citizenship or permanent residency

If you are an empathetic educator, ready to make a real difference, then take a brave step forward and apply to become a part of our growing team. Apply today and attach your resume, along with any brief samples of your work you would like to showcase. Include your preferred contact details and hopefully, we will able to connect and get started on a journey together. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Note: Only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents will be considered. Regretfully, we do not accept TEFL/TESOL qualifications, and all applicants must already be familiar and up-to-date with the current and prevailing MOE syllabus for Primary, Secondary, and/or GP.
