Job description

You will be responsible for supervising and assigning tasks to engineering team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance jobs. Additionally, you will conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, back of house, kitchens, and mechanical rooms. It will be your duty to maintain all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems while ensuring that preventive maintenance schedules are followed for all machinery, equipment, and hotel infrastructure.Handling guest and staff maintenance requests promptly and efficiently will be a crucial part of your role, along with monitoring energy usage and implementing energy-saving initiatives. You will also be accountable for maintaining proper inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts, as well as coordinating with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.Your responsibilities will also include maintaining safety standards and ensuring that all engineering team members comply with hotel safety policies. You will assist the Chief Engineer in planning and executing renovation or repair projects, preparing daily maintenance reports, and updating records in the maintenance management system. Providing training and mentoring to junior technicians and new hires will also be part of your duties.Moreover, you will be expected to respond promptly to emergencies such as power failures, plumbing issues, or equipment breakdowns.
