Overview

Job Summary

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee the creation, implementation, and rollout of scalable software solutions and modernization initiatives. This position is responsible for driving consistent, efficient, and compliant technology execution across various platforms, leveraging strong skills in system architecture, solution design, deployment, and team management.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems;
• Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture Governance, Solution Architecture, Distributed Applications, and SOA frameworks;
• Must have proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale, production-ready applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including PaaS and container technologies;
• Must have 2+ years of experience coaching developers, helping them enhance their performance and grow their careers;
• Must have strong knowledge of IT solution governance, frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure consistent, compliant technology execution;
• Hands-on experience with modern full-stack web technologies, including Next.js/React.js for frontend and Java/TypeScript for backend development;
• Ability to design and implement common architectural patterns across multiple services;
• Must have a deep understanding of architectural principles and SOA governance best practices;
• Must have extensive experience working in Agile development environments and architecting enterprise-wide systems;
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of clearly conveying architectural concepts and policies;
• Must have a customer-focused mindset with strong leadership and interpersonal abilities;
• Must have the ability to guide a team to achieve important goals together.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience working in government, healthcare, or regulated environments;
• Familiarity with DevOps and observability tools;
• Exposure to large-scale digital transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering vision and strategy for project teams, aligning with organizational goals;
• Architect, design, and research digital solutions by assessing current states, identifying gaps, and mapping future roadmaps;
• Develop and maintain long-term technical plans and roadmaps;
• Facilitate architecture reviews, manage feedback, and ensure design gaps are addressed effectively;
• Provide guidance on architecture policies, standards, and processes to enhance scalability and drive change;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, reliability, and security of solutions;
• Oversee application operations, propose innovative methodologies, and mentor team members to boost technical skills;
• Maintain up-to-date architecture documentation and communication materials for stakeholders and technology forums.
