Job description

Engineering Manager – Embedded Systems & Computer Vision

Are you an engineer at heart with a passion for solving complex technical challenges? Do you thrive on leading teams to develop high-performance embedded systems that push the boundaries of AI, computer vision, and real-time data processing? At Rapsodo, we turn cutting-edge technology into game-changing solutions.

As a global leader in sports vision technology, we design and develop advanced hardware products integrating cameras, radars, deep learning, and embedded systems powered by multiprocessor ARM architectures. Our solutions deliver real-time AI-driven insights, high-performance computing, and data precision to help athletes and teams elevate their game.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to drive the end-to-end development of our embedded technology stack. You will lead teams, make critical technical decisions, and ensure the successful execution of high-performance embedded systems, firmware, and AI-driven applications from concept to deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
  • Oversee the architecture, development, and optimization of embedded firmware, middleware, and system software for high-performance multi-processor ARM-based systems.
  • Drive the integration of computer vision, deep learning models, radar signal processing, and embedded systems into efficient and scalable hardware solutions.
  • Ensure seamless middleware implementation for real-time inter-process communication, memory management, and low-latency execution on embedded platforms.
  • Lead firmware development, ensuring robust device control, driver optimization, and real-time data acquisition from cameras, radars, and sensors.
  • Optimize system performance, power efficiency, and reliability for edge computing and AI acceleration applications.
  • Develop and optimize Embedded Linux environments, including kernel modifications, device drivers, and system-level optimizations for high-performance computing.
  • Stay ahead of the latest embedded systems technologies, AI-driven hardware architectures, and hardware acceleration frameworks.
Project Execution & Delivery
  • End-to-End Project Ownership: Drive the full product lifecycle—from concept, design, development, and prototyping to manufacturing, testing, and deployment.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, ML engineers) and manage technical challenges, scope, and timelines.
  • Execution & Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and execution risks to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure the on-time and high-quality execution of engineering projects, implementing best practices in software and hardware development.
  • MS/MEng/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in embedded systems, firmware, middleware, and computer vision applications
  • Strong expertise in C/C++, Python for real-time, low-latency applications in computer vision or signal processing
  • Deep understanding of middleware frameworks, multi-core processing, inter-process communication, and Embedded Linux development
  • Hands-on experience with ARM multi-core architectures, and real-time embedded systems
  • Strong expertise in firmware development, low-level device drivers, and kernel-space programming for Embedded Linux
  • Experience with radar signal processing, sensor fusion, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, etc.)
  • Proven experience managing complex hardware-software integration projects
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical details to both engineering teams and business stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly technical environment

At Rapsodo, you will have the opportunity to

  • Work on cutting-edge technology that integrates AI, sensor fusion, and high-performance embedded computing,
  • Be part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering team driving innovation,
  • Lead end-to-end product development with real-world impact,
  • Shape the future of sports through advanced embedded systems and AI-driven solutions.
