Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a candidate for a technical position focused on reviewing designs and coordinating production processes. Responsibilities include interfacing with design and engineering teams to optimize manufacturability and support new product introductions. Candidates should have at least a Diploma or Degree in engineering and possess good analytical skills, with experience in PCB design preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in PCB design/manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review customers’ design and documents for manufacturability.
  • Generate part arrangement and production documents.
  • Liaise with tooling vendors on fabrication.
  • Perform initial DFM review prior to confirmation.
  • Monitor production feedback via Engineering Change Request.

Job description
Job Responsibilities:
To review customers’ design and documents (CAD data, drawings, specifications, etc.) for better manufacturability and to provide proposals/feedback or seek clarifications from customers.
  • Perform process planning, generate part arrangement, Cam editing instructions and production documents for manufacturing processes.
  • Liaise with Cam section on generation of soft tooling to support production.
  • Liaise with tooling vendors on fabrication of hard tooling
  • Perform initial DFM (Design for Manufacturing) review prior to confirmation of customer’s design or order.
  • Work with Material Planners and Purchasing on the processing and material positioning for the product.
  • To monitor and follow-up on production feedback via Engineering Change Request and to take the appropriate actions to implement upon appropriate approval process.
  • To maintain proper documentation and filing of parts tooled or reviewed.
  • Interfaces with design, process, test and reliability engineering to solve problems
  • Job Requirements:
    • Support Customer Service and Quality Engineers on customer’s technical requests and inquiries.
    • To provide New Product Introduction (NPI) job attributes and process flow chart and conduct NPI meeting with Engineering, Production and Quality teams.
    • Support company’s continuous productivity and quality improvements (e.g. panelization , utilization improvements, process flow simplification, update department checklist/guides, etc.).
    • Work with Process and Development Engineering Teams on process capabilities, design guidelines and new product developments.
    About You:
    • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronic or Chemical Engineering
    • Min 1 year of relevant working experience
    • Ability to work under pressure & fast pace working environment
    • Good in both written and spoken English
    • Good analytical mind with PCB fabrication knowledge/practical experience preferred
    • Experience in PCB design/manufacturing preferred
