Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of engine overhauling and related systems.
  • Familiarity with engine warranty and job acceptance processes.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the diesel workshop, managing engine repair and overhaul projects for commercial and naval vessels.
  • Ensure overhaul processes are executed productively and in compliance with customer specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Supervise and guide engineers and technicians, ensuring adherence to engine protocols, Critical Process Inspections (CPI), task sheets, and workshop procedures.
  • Monitor departmental projects to achieve delivery targets while maintaining high levels of quality assurance.
  • Enforce yard safety regulations and promote a culture of safety through active leadership and role modeling.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 -7 years’ experience in shipyards or OEMs specializing in diesel engines.
  • Strong knowledge of engine overhauling, applied mechanics, and related systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills in pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, and basic electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with engine warranty, claims, and job acceptance processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engine repair/overhaul projects and lead teams in both workshop and onboard environments.
