Responsibilities
- Drive energy efficiency & sustainability: Lead site energy management initiatives, audits, and improvement projects in line with ISO50001 & regulatory requirements.
- Monitor energy performance: Track energy/water usage, implement conservation measures, and report savings & carbon reduction.
- Lead Energy Management Team: Conduct quarterly reviews, collaborate with ESCO consultants, and submit annual reports (EUR & EEIP) to NEA.
- Maintain utility systems: Oversee utilities availability, performance tracking, preventive maintenance, and coordination with contractors.
- Plant equipment reliability: Ensure equipment compliance, preventive maintenance strategy, and facility management.
- Technical support & troubleshooting: Work with maintenance and production teams for root‑cause analysis and issue resolution.
- CapEx & project management: Develop, plan, execute, and control capital projects (budget, schedule, safety & documentation).
- Equipment specification & upgrades: Design/select equipment that meets technical requirements and improve efficiency.
- Process safety assurance: Participate in HAZOP, QRA, safety case reviews, and implement safety measures.
- Change management compliance: Ensure all process changes follow proper Management of Change (MoC) procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/chemical engineering.
- Applicant must have Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification to be considered for the position. Kindly indicate the certification in your CV or attach the certificate as a supporting document during application.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry (Process/Equipment Optimization and Project Management).
- Experience with continuous improvement processes (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, etc.) will be advantageous.
- Experience with ASPEN PIMS and project management. Experience in Digital data collection/analytics tools, databases like OEE, Testify.
- Ability to apply fundamental engineering and business principles.
- Possess technical knowledge to solve process engineering issues.
- Skills in successfully overcoming challenges and identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and personnel rules and regulations.
- Cross regional communication/networking skills to work with counterparts across different time zones.
- Willing to work in Jurong Island.
