We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to lead hardware design and development for cutting-edge medical diagnostic devices. This role is pivotal in translating customer needs into robust hardware solutions, ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional systems, and adhering to strict medical regulatory standards. Seeking a highly motivated Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the design and development for medical diagnostic device intended for regulatory approval. The candidate will have a wide range of exposure of different technology platform.

Candidate will translate the collaborator’s needs into robust hardware solutions, ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional systems. The successful candidate will lead and grow a team for wide range of clinical application.

Candidate will work closely with clinical and commercial stakeholders to deliver successful and impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing sourcing component, circuit schematic design, PCB layout, and PCBA production management.
  • Responsible in design reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance activities; conduct project development and testing in accordance with SOP-based quality management systems.
  • Responsible technical areas including photoelectric detection, weak signal processing (isolation, amplification, filtering, etc.), automation, and PLC control.
  • Responsible for mentoring junior and refreshing the latest tech development and product landscape.
  • Responsible for presentation for progress, finding, and solution to internal and external stakeholder.
  • Responsible for technical development timeline and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to project scoping and preparing project proposals with in-depth understanding in clinical workflow, clinical unmet needs, technology value proposition, economic value capture, clinical deployment, and product commercialisation pathway.
  • Contribute to prototype development and small-batch production, including sourcing domestic and overseas suppliers for rapid prototyping.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, firmware, and software) to ensure hardware compatibility and system integration.
Requirements
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in hardware development, electrical & electronic design, or hardware integration.
Technical Design Expertise
  • Skills in full circuit board development using microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, ESP32)
  • Skills in circuit schematic design, PCB layout, tool kits (Altium Designer, KiCAD) and circuit simulation tools.
  • Skills in fast prototype and manufacturing.
Medical & Technical Domain Knowledge
  • Familiarity with component selection for medical applications.
  • Broad knowledge of medical diagnostic sensors.
  • Expertise in power management design.
  • In-depth understanding and practical experience with communication protocols. (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, etc.)
  • Knowledge of medical device standards. (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601).
Practical Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in using test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analsers, multimeters).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to identify and manage external development resources, ensuring on‑time delivery.
