A leading engineering firm is looking for a pioneer engineer to facilitate the local manufacture of power supply units in Singapore. The ideal candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and over five years of relevant design experience. Responsibilities include coordinating technology transfer, understanding manufacturing requirements, and leading the design process while ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Technology Transfer & Local Manufacture of Power Supply

• Technology transfer to localise manufacture of power supply unit in Singapore.
• Understand requirement to localise manufacture of in‑house product based on original design criteria and procedure.
• Proposed new or modified solution and quotes to sales/customer requirements.
• Electrical circuit design and schematic capture.
• PIC programming.
• Bill of materials (BOM) and test plan creation.
• Breadboard and prototype samples making and debugging.
• Design new solution/product within company standard design practice, safety guidelines, agreed timescales and costs.
• Performed product verification and validation to ensure product meet specification before delivered to customer.
• Document machine build process and continuously improve quality and cost.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Electronic or higher degree in a related engineering field.
• More than 5 years electrical design experience of power supply.
• Hands‑on approach as pioneer engineer within team before hiring/training technicians to takeover build process.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design using software be an added advantage.
• Requires good communication, reasoning, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Independent, Self‑starter, hardworking, accountable and a good team play.
