Role Overview

As an Engineer, Electrical & Instrumentation, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing maintenance and engineering activities safely, efficiently, and within budget. Collaborating with a team of skilled professionals, you will ensure plant reliability and compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute daily, ad-hoc, and shut‑down maintenance activities to meet safety, schedule, and budget targets.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of senior engineers and superintendents.
  • Review and update maintenance documents, including long‑term plans and critical equipment lists.
  • Analyze plant equipment data to enhance predictive and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Support shut‑down maintenance (SDM) activities, including statutory equipment inspections.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Propose and implement improvement projects to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Execute engineering and minor modification works with a focus on electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams and contractors on technical topics.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on maintenance work and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of chemical processing plant electrical equipment, process instruments, and control systems (e.g., AC motors, analyzers, control valves, PLC systems).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues and executing maintenance processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to lead a team and work independently.

  • Location: Jurong Island
  • Transport: Company Transport at Jurong East
