Job Description
  • Industry/ Organization Type: Manufacture of Electrical Power Distribution, Control and Automation Systems
  • Position Title: Electrical Design Engineer / Senior Electrical Design Engineer
  • Working Location: Tuas Crescent (Transportation Provided)
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.15am – 5.45pm
  • Salary Package: Basic + AWS + Variable Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead major projects within the Design Department, accountable for the full project lifecycle and team results.
  • Plan, assign, and supervise design tasks; mentor and guide the design team.
  • Review and approve drawings and technical documents from the team.
  • Ensure proper implementation of design controls and maintain quality standards.
  • Prepare material requisition lists for projects.
  • Design electrical switchboards, control panels, and consoles per client requirements and company standards.
  • Create and submit approval/shop/final drawings, short circuit calculations, and instruction manuals.
  • Coordinate with clients and consultants regarding technical requirements; participate in technical meetings as needed.
  • Communicate technical changes and variations to Sales & Marketing for claims or contract adjustments.
  • Liaise with production to follow up on design and shop drawings.
  • Support Sales & Marketing with technical input and backup for contract bidding.
  • Continuously improve department workflow to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Follow and enforce Quality Management System procedures.
  • Carry out other tasks as directed by supervisors.
