Job summary

A staffing services company in Singapore is seeking an EHS Compliance Officer to enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance on construction sites. The role involves conducting safety audits, reviewing contractor plans, and coordinating EHS initiatives. Candidates should have relevant experience in the construction industry and must hold an Advanced Certificate in WSH. This position also requires assisting with incident investigations and other compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in construction industry preferably with developer / main contractor.
  • Minimum Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B), preferably registered WSH Officer with MOM.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety checks and audits to identify non-compliances.
  • Monitor implementation of safety measures in accordance with WSH Act.
  • Review contractors’ EHS plans to ensure they are in order.
  • Liaise with contractors and stakeholders on EHS matters.
  • Assist in incident investigation and implement corrective actions.
Job description
  • Enforce EHS requirements by conducting routine safety checks and audits to identify non-compliances on site, prepare report of observation and follow up on the rectification

  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of appropriate safety measures in accordance with the WSH Act

  • Review contractors’ EHS plans, MSRA and other EHS documents to ensure all documents are in order before the commencement of work

  • Liaise and coordinate EHS matters with main contractors, specialist contractors, stakeholders, vendors employed by developer

  • Ensure interfacing works carried out by main contractors are coordinated properly

  • Ensure EHS initiatives, programmes are effectively implemented

  • Assist in incident investigation and root cause analysis, ensure recommended corrective actions are implemented

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records including permits, license, certifications

  • Identify areas for improvement and monitor implementation progress

  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support overall EHS objectives

  • Relevant experience in construction industry preferably with developer / main contractor, pharmaceutical plant construction experience

  • Minimum Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B), preferably registered WSH Officer with MOM
