Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer focused on lighting design and electrical systems. You will handle the complete design process, including preparation of 2D and 3D layout drawings, and work with various engineering tools like AutoCAD MEP and Navisworks Manage. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in Engineering and has at least 3 years of relevant design experience. The role also supports site testing and commissioning activities.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Lighting design and calculation.
• Preparation of lighting layout 2D and 3D drawings, Lighting circuit diagram.
• Earthing and Lightning Protection design and drafting of layout, section, and elevation drawings.
• Cable ladder, conduit, trunking, cable routing design. Preparation of 2D and 3D design drawings.
• Cable sizing calculation, prepare Electrical cable schedule.
• Prepare material take off (MTO) for material purchase.
• Fire Alarm, CCTV, Card Access, Public Addressing system design, preparation of system schematic and Layout drawings 2D and 3D.
• Preparation of Instrument Location layout drawing.
• Preparation of Junction box termination drawings, Instrument Loop diagram.
• Preparation of instrument Hook up, typical installation details.
• Preparation of instrument cable schedule.
• Prepare Electrical and Instrumentation design documents such as Structure, mechanical, piping team for design interface issue.
• Attend3D model review and coordination with internal discipline engineers to resolve clashes.
• Attend site survey and provide design sketches such as cable routing, support installation details, etc.
• Support project tender team for material take-off from client tender documents.
• Attend factory inspection for E & I related material such as Fire alarm, CCTV, MCC, PLC system.
• Support construction site to raise material purchase request, evaluate vendor quotation, preparation of Material approval submission.
• Support site testing & commissioning work such as fire alarm system, CCTV System, DCS loop check, etc.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• At least 3 year of relevant design experience.
• Minimum hands‑on experience for using design software such as AutoCAD MEP (Electrical), AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks Manage.
