Work you’ll do

The Risk and Brand Protection Group oversees and monitors various reputation and risk related processes and activities within the Firm with an aim to provide the relevant compliance support to our professionals in their delivery of quality service to our clients while protecting and maintaining the Firm’s brand and reputation. The Senior Manager will work within the Deloitte SEA RRG and will be based in our Malaysia practice office. The individual will be working closely with Partners and other client-facing professionals, within Deloitte Southeast Asia, and will have frequent interactions with various Risk Leaders and Independence teams. His/her primary roles involve:

  • Manage the execution of Independence processes and initiatives related to Personal Independence in line with firm’s Independence policies and the IESBA Code .
  • Manage complex consultations related to Personal Independence policies of firm’s partners and personnel
  • Liaise with country Independence Teams involved in the annual inspection and testing process, compile testing results and report the results to relevant Risk Leaders.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on workstream activities and initiatives
  • Enhance and implement processes to improve efficiency of processes and turnaround time.
  • Lead and guide team members on applicable process and policies.
  • Demonstrate consistent optimism and commitment towards work challenges.
  • Liaise with Global Independence team on Global system-related matters in managing Personal Independence.
  • Liaise with learning team on the independence training required to be completed by SEA Deloitte practitioners.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in the risk/business management field or experienced assistants having 7-10years the appropriate background and experience.
  • Experience in leadership or managerial roles is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough research, analyze complex data, and derive actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work products.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using IT tools and systems relevant to risk management, including advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, database management, and risk assessment software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture where individuals are empowered to contribute their best.
  • Highly motivated and self-disciplined individual with a strong work ethic and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work autonomously with initiative, manage competing priorities effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
