Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and operate advanced drone systems for data collection, inspection, and mission execution in diverse field environments.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-flight checks, in-flight monitoring, and post-mission analysis to maintain operational integrity.
  • Troubleshoot complex engineering issues on-site, diagnosing hardware, software, or environmental challenges with drones and associated equipment.
  • Develop innovative, real-time solutions to bypass obstacles or enhance system performance, such as custom modifications or workflow optimizations.
  • Collaborate with remote engineering teams via English-language communications to relay findings, elevate issues, and implement rapid fixes.
  • Document operations, including technical reports, logs, and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with international aviation regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards during deployments.
  • Support solar-integrated drone projects, including integration testing and optimization where applicable.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in drone operations, field engineering, or UAV deployment, with proven expertise in drone hardware, software, and flight dynamics.
  • Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written) for clear communication with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve difficult engineering problems independently or collaboratively, with a track record of creative on‑site innovations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods (up to 70% travel), including living abroad for weeks or months at a time.
  • Physical fitness to withstand harsh environments, such as extreme temperatures, high altitudes, dust, or remote terrains.
  • Valid drone pilot certification (e.g. UAPL or equivalent international license) and familiarity with multi‑rotor UAVs. Candidates that do not have certification may apply.
  • Proficiency in tools for drone programming and simulation or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with GIS software and data analytics for mission planning and post‑processing.
