Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled drafter to prepare detailed shop and installation drawings for glass and aluminium systems. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in CAD software such as Autocad and a strong attention to detail are essential. This role includes collaboration with architects and project teams and requires the ability to work independently in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience preferred.
• Candidate must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Comfortable and willing to work in a factory/industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for glass, aluminium, and façade systems based on design intent and project specifications.
• Convert conceptual designs, sketches, and tender drawings into precise CAD drawings for submission and approval.
• Produce as-built drawings after project completion.
• Ensure drawings are compliant with architectural requirements, structural design, and façade system standards.
• Prepare detail drawings of curtain wall, cladding, doors, windows, canopies, skylights etc as required.
• Support engineers and project managers in material schedules, cutting lists, and take-offs.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, suppliers, and site teams to clarify design and technical requirements.
• Assist project/site team by providing drawing clarifications and technical references during fabrication and installation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the manager or project lead.

Job Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2 years in relevant working experience preferred
• Able to handle multiple projects at any time
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in technical drawings.
• With initiative and high sense of responsibility to complete work on time
• Proficient in Autocad/Sketch up/BIM/ Revit and Microsoft office
