We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our Sales & Marketing Division and play a key role in shaping the hotel’s market positioning, brand presence, and revenue performance. This leadership position is part of the Executive Committee and works closely with the General Manager in driving strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Revenue Management
Oversee the Sales & Marketing Department and collaborate with the Executive Committee to achieve the hotel’s revenue goals and market positioning.
Advise and support the General Manager on strategic planning, commercial direction, and all Sales & Marketing–related initiatives. - Brand & Corporate Standards
Uphold Corporate guidelines, brand integrity, and ensure consistency across all marketing and communication touchpoints. - Business Development & Market Engagement
Develop and execute strategies to maintain and grow business volume across all key segments.
Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including corporate clients, Convention Bureaus, hotel associations, tourism boards, airlines, travel agents, tour operators, and broader community partners. - Marketing, Promotions & Events
Lead the development of annual revenue plans, marketing budgets, and performance forecasts.
Work closely with the Food & Beverage Department to conceptualize and promote special events and community-focused initiatives (e.g., culinary events, seasonal celebrations, partnerships) to drive F&B revenue. - Advertising & Market Analysis
Review the effectiveness of past campaigns, analyze market trends, and recommend optimal advertising strategies in consultation with internal stakeholders and external agencies. - People Leadership & Talent Development
Ensure team performance is aligned with hotel standards through effective leadership, coaching, and regular performance reviews.
Support recruitment, training, mentoring, and continuous learning to build a high-performing Sales & Marketing team. - Budgeting & Financial Oversight
Collaborate with the Director of Finance on departmental budgeting, expense management, and financial reporting. - Additional Responsibilities
Undertake ad-hoc assignments and projects as required to support the hotel’s commercial objectives.
Job Requirements
- Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum 8–10 years of senior leadership experience in Sales & Marketing within the hospitality industry, preferably in an international or luxury hotel brand.
Proven track record in developing commercial strategies, driving revenue growth, and managing multi-segment markets. - Leadership & Strategic Capabilities
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with the Executive Committee and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating, and developing high-performing teams.
Ability to manage complex projects, set clear priorities, and execute initiatives to achieve business goals. - Commercial & Market Competencies
Deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, distribution channels, and digital marketing strategies.
Experience in preparing annual revenue plans, budgets, and accurate forecasts.
Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret commercial data and translate insights into actionable strategies. - Brand & Communication Skills
Excellent command of written and verbal communication, with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Ability to uphold brand integrity, ensure alignment with corporate standards, and maintain a consistent brand presence in internal and external communications. - Stakeholder Engagement
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners, including clients, Convention Bureaus, Tourism Boards, Travel Agencies, Tour Operators, airlines, and community organizations.
Comfortable representing the hotel at events, trade shows, and professional networks. - Operational & Financial Skills
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis in collaboration with the Director of Finance.
Experience working with advertising agencies, evaluating marketing campaigns, and optimizing promotional investments. - Personal Attributes
