Job description

As the Frontend Global Modeling Director and a part of the Central Planning pillar of PROCT organization, you will be the leader of a global team with team members supporting all HVM fabs in Asia and the US. Your team is the primary contact for evaluating all FE fab equipment contingency list changes and new Technode equipment optimization for the manufacturing network. This includes communicating capital impacts of process changes to senior leaders in manufacturing and R&D.

You will be responsible for connecting many parts of the business in order to drive the execution of Adaptive Modeling, the Technode Capital Efficiency Processes and maximize tool asset utilization

The ability to understand and effectively communicate capital changes and resulting impacts to the loading plan is essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Establishing your organization and developing your team across the global network; build up, train and enable the collaboration across all stakeholders including but not limited to central teams, the fabs, TD, supply chain, finance.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with the variety of Front End Operation area equipment and their extent ability, usage for various process applications.

  • Your team will collaborate closely with TD on the upcoming Technode(s) to bring clarity on the modeling setup - Tools Modeling to Capex/Output efficiency to execution of the plan at Micron FE HVM sites.

  • Being able to visualize and competency in understanding of the Micron Budget to Modeling and eventual Technode execution on the Long Range Plan to IE Modeling to handoff capex plan to the sites.

  • Monitoring and awareness of equipment performance discrepancies with timely communication to your Lead

  • Analyze key demand information from end-customer backlog, key customer forecast, point-of-sales, and factory backlog using a statistical and rule-based demand analytics engine

  • Support the global assessment process of current and future needs, and benchmarking

  • Lead Defense Line projects with an understanding of project management phases; Initiate, Plan, Execute and Close, that can impact the network significantly

  • Business Process Ownership and Support

  • Understand the interaction of planning systems and associated applications used within Micron and provide the system related mentorship to the FE operation sites

  • Coordinate, lead, and provide analysis in executive and business management forums to drive alignment to strategy

  • Guides functional services with peer group and internal global partners.

  • Promote and lead all aspects of partnerships with Technology Development, Procurement and P.E.E / Site IE

  • Key Modeling Objectives and KPIs include but not limited to:

  • Adaptive Modeling - Ingest MOR with BAP.

  • Adaptive Modeling - Excess Tools overview and binning of excess tool model before rolling to global excess list

  • TD Engagement engage on job shadowing with TD to engage on ECN tool model updates. Engage with TD, ADT on the key modules changes in FE Tools impacting our FE sites with regards to EMI, BAP, excess and TOR purchased over time.

  • BP solve/Node plan over plan report suite- Leading edge tools, pilot vs cadence

  • Build up and align equipment capacity modeling across sites and identify opportunities to drive benchmark performances

  • ECN KPI Suite Build up with metrics to transition from Modeling to Site IE/Satellite IE: Timeliness of ECN changes publication, include reusability, VME health

  • Build FE Optimize Capex Model

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor planning
  • Strong Semiconductor Fab Process Knowledge.
  • Knowledge and practical application of statistics, data analysis, modeling and problem solving.
  • Effective communication and demonstrate influence through multiple levels of the organization
  • Good personnel and resource management skills.
  • Good personnel development and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Planning systems, applications, computer and Microsoft office skills.
  • The ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Evaluates products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications. Conducts research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommends process improvements or equipment changes needed to efficiently manufacture new product or part types.
