We are looking a Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating dump trucks to transport materials to various job sites while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations. Responsibilities
Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials including dirt, gravel, and asphalt to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials in compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, materials transported, and job site deliveries.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to promote a safe work environment.
- Monitor load weights and distribution to maintain vehicle stability and compliance with weight restrictions.
- Participate in ongoing training and safety meetings to enhance driving skills and safety awareness.
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate schedules and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- Valid commercial class 4 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of five years of experience operating dump trucks and heavy equipment in a construction or similar environment.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Certification in safety and hazardous materials handling.
- Previous experience driving heavy dipper trucks and heavy vehicle equipment.
- Knowledge of construction site operations. Familiarity with operating dump trucks and related heavy equipment.
- Basic knowledge of GPS and navigation systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
