Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Gemmologist & Procurement Manager in Singapore. The role requires expert knowledge in gemstone identification and client consultation. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in the luxury retail sector, particularly in jewelry. Responsibilities include sourcing and managing gemstone inventories. The position offers a starting salary of $6000 to $7000 plus bonuses, with a work schedule of 5.5 days per week near Orchard MRT.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years working experience in the retail luxury industry, preferable in a jewellery field.
• Certified Gemmologist (GIA, FGA or other relevant certification) will be added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced gemmological instruments and techniques to accurately identify and grade gemstones.

Job description

• Position: Gemmologist & Procurement Manager
• Industry: Precious Gemstones, Rare Gem, Diamonds Collections
• 5.5 Work Days, 9-6pm (Mon to Fri) , 9am to 1pm Saturday
• Sunday & PH are off.
• Office near Orchard MRT (Private Sales Gallery & Office)
• Starting Salary: $6000 to $7000 + Bonus

1. Provide expert advice to clients on gemstone selection, care and investment.
2. Assist in the selection of gemstone for jewellery design and creation

Procurement

1. Sourcing and procurement of gemstones.
2. Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of gemstone inventory
3. Monitor gemstone markets trends and advise on potential investments

Production

1. Cordinate with designers and workshop on new product development.
