Summary: We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong GitLab expertise to drive the transformation and optimisation of IT systems in the financial services sector. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, ensuring seamless IT operations, automation, and high service levels. You will play a key role in enhancing DevOps practices, improving collaboration, and supporting the development and transformation of IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

GitLab & Version Control Expertise:

• Implement and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Ensure efficient code management, branching strategies, and collaboration across development teams.
• Troubleshoot and optimise GitLab workflows to enhance productivity and reduce bottlenecks.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to align DevOps practices with business needs.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams, fostering smooth communication and collaboration.

Automation & Process Improvement:

• Drive automation initiatives to streamline IT operations and improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to optimise workflows and implement best practices for DevOps.

Communication & Presentation:

• Clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Present solutions, progress, and insights to leadership and clients.

Self-Driven Leadership:

• Take ownership of projects, proactively identify challenges, and propose solutions.
