Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Development Associate, specialising in project management for development projects. The role involves supporting the full development lifecycle, including design coordination, authority submissions, consultant and contractor management, site progress monitoring, and ensuring that all design proposals comply with the company's design guidelines and development manual.
Candidates with experience in development management, architecture, consultancy, project & facilities management, engineering, or the built environment are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
a. Design & Planning Coordination
- Assist in preparing development briefs, design intent documents, and project schedules
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, QS and other consultants across design stages
- Review drawings to ensure alignment with project intent, authority guidelines, and buildability considerations
- Ensure all design proposals comply with the company's Design Guidelines, Technical Standards and Development Manual
- Update the company's Design Guide and Development Manual periodically to reflect evolving standards and best practices
- Track design updates and maintain accurate documentation
b. Authority Submissions & Compliance
- Assist in preparing and coordinating submissions to URA, BCA, LTA, NParks, PUB, SCDF and other authorities
- Follow up on approval timelines and outstanding clarifications
- Support the project team in monitoring statutory compliance
c. Project Management Support
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers to support smooth project progress
- Assist with preparation of tender documents, evaluation summaries and procurement clarifications
- Monitor project timelines and follow up on outstanding tasks
- Attend site walks and meetings; document and track action items
- Support the Development Manager in reviewing RFIs, variation orders and commercial terms
d. Construction, Quality & Handover
- Participate in site inspections, mock-up reviews and material approvals
- Assist in TOP/CSC preparation, including document collation and compliance checks
- Support handover phases and collaborate with the defects team during the DLP period
e. Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain filing of project documents, drawings, approvals and correspondence
- Prepare project status reports, cost summaries and management updates
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Real Estate, Architecture, Project Management, Building, Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in development, consultancy, project management or construction is an advantage
- Strong communication, coordination and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of design processes, construction terminology and regulatory requirements in Singapore
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management or documentation software is a plus
- May involve occasional weekend duties for site walks, inspections or submission deadlines
- Gross monthly salary of $3,000 to $4,000, commensurate with experience
