Qualifications

Job description
The Job
  • Perform basic visual and dimensional inspection of engines module and components parts to identify damage or defects and to ensure conformance to standards and procedures
  • Use visual aids and precision measuring tools of various types to perform visual and dimensional inspections
  • Records inspection results on the appropriate inspection documentation
  • Generate applicable documentation for the repair of unserviceable parts
Generic tasks
  • Use of correct, approved tools, equipment for MRO work
  • Ensure that all overhaul and repair activities are carried out in accordance with engine manuals, approved technical data, regulatory requirements procedures
  • Read updates on maintenance manuals, service bulletins, other specifications and regulatory requirements to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Liaise with Engineering and raising discrepancy report on quality non-conformances
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement
  • Ensure that all work are carried out meets quality requirements as per respective engine manual
  • Be responsible for care and cleanliness of equipment and work station
  • Model behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management practices
Requirements
  • GCE “N” or “O” Level / Nitec/ Higher Nitec / Diploma from a Technical discipline, Aerospace Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in engine workshop practices, MRO activities gas turbine engine components
  • Ability to read, understand approved technical data in English
  • Basic understanding of relevant air worthiness, regulatory agencies requirement
  • Basic use of hand and measurement tools
