About the Role:

You’ll have 2 years of experience in providing dedicated IT support, particularly end-user support, the team shall demonstrate strong technical proficiency across Windows, Linux, and macOS, coupled with knowledge of information security principles. Ability to learn to support specialized scientific applications is a plus. Collectively, the team shall possess advanced troubleshooting skills across multiple operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux (Ubuntu, Redhat), strong knowledge of networking concepts, and experience in handling complex technical escalations.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate would be advantageous.

Personnel must demonstrate professional communication competency (written and spoken English), customer service, and problem-solving skills.

  • i. End-User Computing Devices (EUCD, e.g. Windows Desktops/Laptops, Apple Mac),
  • ii. Common desktop applications, but not limited to: Microsoft OS, Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365, Internet Browsers (e.g., Edge, Chrome, Firefox), Adobe Reader, Java Runtime Environment (JRE), Intranet web-based applications, including A*RES internal applications, SAP ERP Systems (e.g., S/4 HANA, ARIBA, SuccessFactors), Anti-virus software, VPN software, Wireless connectivity software, Patch Management Software, Other Applications (e.g., Virtual Desktops and other enterprise tools)
  • iii. Handheld Computing Devices including but not limiting to iPads, Tablets, Smart Phones.
  • iv. Accessories for Computing Devices including but not limiting to Port Replicators, Docking Stations, Web Cams, DVD/Blu-ray Burners, Kensington locks, Card Readers, Power Adaptors, Input Devices such as Keyboards, Mouse, Digital Pens, Handheld Scanners
  • v. External LCD Monitors
  • vi. Personal and Network Printers, Label Printers, Document Scanners
