Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to prepare process diagrams, participate in Hazop studies, and assist with bidding packages. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the Chemical or Oil & Gas sectors. Strong communication skills and proficiency in AutoCad are essential. This role offers opportunities to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years working experience in process design or technical experience in Chemical, Oil & Gas storage.
  • Familiar with international design codes such as API, NFPA, Norsok.
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Process Flow Diagram/Piping and Instrumentation Diagram.
  • Participate in Hazop study and follow up on action list.
  • Assist in process design for tender/bidding package.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare Process Flow Diagram / Piping and Instrumentation Diagram for product system, Utility system, Fire fighting system, Oily water system and vapor collection system
  • Prepare pump hydraulic calculation report, Thermal heating system report, firefighting system calculation report, surge analysis report etc
  • Prepare process system description and process design basis documents
  • Participate in Hazop study, follow up on the Hazop action list to close the Hazop action list report
  • Assist and checking the process design for tender / bidding package
  • To communicate and discuss with other discipline for the works.
  • To perform other tasks as assigned by section head or lead engineer.
Qualification & Experience generally required
  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience in process design or technical experience in Chemical, Oil & Gas storage or LPG or LNG storage terminal is preferable
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience in EPC environment is preferable
  • Familiar with the international design codes such as API, NFPA, Norsok etc
  • Strong communication skill
  • Good interpersonal skill and able to work as a team
  • Able to use AutoCad
  • Able to work independently with minimum guidance
  • Knowledge of hydrocarbon processing unit or FPSO is an advantage
