Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑oriented Deputy General Manager (DGM) to join our senior leadership team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in strategic planning, business development, and day‑to‑day management of operations. The DGM will oversee multiple departments and drive business growth, compliance, operational excellence, and regional market development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing overall business operations, strategic planning, and performance management.
  • Lead and supervise departments such as trading, operations, finance, compliance, and administration.
  • Identify business opportunities and support market expansion initiatives in the Asia‑Pacific region.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key partners, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Drive efficiency, risk control, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and reporting to ensure profitability and sustainability.
  • Represent the company in regional meetings, conferences, and industry events when required
  • Develop internal talent and build a high‑performing, collaborative team culture.
Requirements
  • At least a Master's degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Energy, or related disciplines.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the energy, commodities, or oil & gas industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Strong knowledge of fuel oil or bunker trading, operations, and logistics is highly preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with a strategic mindset and hands‑on management approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage due to frequent coordination with China‑based counterparts.
