Job description
Financial Strategy & Operational Support

Provide strategic financial support for plant operations and key projects, including financial modelling, contract assessment, and liaison with local bodies (e.g. EDB, banks).

Drive effective cash flow and working capital management to maximize returns and minimize costs.

Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to support key business decisions, including revenue, margin analysis, cost variances, and working capital metrics.

Tax & Statutory Requirements

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations while optimizing financial efficiency.

Oversee completion of statutory accounts and company secretarial duties.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Translate global/regional strategic thrusts into actionable local plans.

Manage departmental budgets and monitor financial performance.

Risk & Process Management

Enhance processes to evaluate and manage business risks, including credit management and authority limits.

Ensure integrity of internal controls and data reporting processes.

Stakeholders’ Engagement

Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, bankers, lawyers, and other third parties to maintain strong professional relationships.

Oversight of Other Entities

Provide financial oversight and governance for Investment Holdings companies.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s in finance, Accounting; CA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or chemical industry (preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, financial modelling, and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS / Singapore (accounting and tax regulations).
  • Experience in managing reporting cycles such as month end, year end, forecast, budget and mid-term and long-range plans.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and their strategic importance (JSOX will be an advantage).
  • Strong eye for detail with a good grasp for impact.
  • Superior knowledge of IFRS and local financial/tax legislation.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity to diverse practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting and reporting systems, MS Office, Power BI, and general IT tools.
