The Deputy Director/Assistant Director of NLB Academy will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director in driving the growth and development of the new NLB Academy. This position entails close collaboration with the Director to ensure the effective implementation of strategic initiatives and the overall success of the NLB Academy.

What you will be working on
  • Deputise the Director in leading the development work needed to set up the NLB Academy.
  • Conceptualise strategic plans and execute business development efforts for the NLB Academy.
  • Perform the role of Account Manager to cultivate close relationships with targeted stakeholders to further partnership and engagement.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment on opportunities and risks in identified emerging markets and lead the team in exploring and expanding market share.
  • Guide the team in identifying and growing a pool of internal and external trainers to develop, customise and deliver tailored Library and Archives programmes based on market demands.
  • Oversee and manage daily operations of NLB Academy.
What we are looking for
  • A strong track record with at least 9 years of relevant experience in Continuing Education and Training, Learning and Development or a related profession. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Deputy Director role.
  • Those with experience in Business Development would have an added advantage.
  • Passionate about current and emerging trends in library and information science, continuous education, and professional development.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively, think strategically, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be appointed on a 2-year contract in the first instance.
