A government agency in Singapore is seeking a member for the Banking and Insurance Investigations Division. The role involves investigating breaches of financial laws and providing litigation support. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple needs and adapting to changes. Interest in investigation work and prior experience in financial forensics is a plus.
You will be a member of the Banking and Insurance Investigations Division (“BID”) of the Enforcement Department. BID is responsible for investigating and enforcing breaches of the laws administered by MAS such as the Financial Services and Markets Act, Banking Act, Insurance Act, Payments Services Act etc. Given the MAS-CAD joint investigation, you will also be gazetted as a Commercial Affairs Officer with criminal investigative power.
You can expect to be challenged intellectually and professionally as you work closely with other investigators, legal officers, as well as internal stakeholders to carry out investigations. You will provide litigation support in regulatory appeals and prosecution. You will gain insight into how the financial services sector in Singapore operates, and the rules and regulations at work, as you play an important role in MAS' enhanced enforcement regime.
