Job summary

A prominent HR advisory firm is looking for a Sales Promoter for a 1-year contract. Located in Little India, this role entails engaging with customers to identify their needs, setting up displays, and promoting FMCG products. Candidates should have experience in chain pharmacies or retail environments, and the ability to meet sales targets. The role offers a competitive salary package with additional incentives. This is a full-time position requiring work six days a week.

Qualifications

  • Experience in promoting FMCG/OTC products in chain pharmacies and departmental stores.
  • Retailer experience is a plus for merchandising and inventory management.
  • Preferable with experience in retail.

Responsibilities

  • Listening and understanding customers’ needs and assisting them.
  • Building product knowledge and delivering engaging presentations.
  • Setting up attractive product displays and promotional booths.
  • Delivering presentations and demonstrations to customers.
  • Distributing samples and providing feedback for improvement.
  • Following up with customers for product selection guidance.
  • Meeting daily targets and submitting sales reports.
  • Networking with stakeholders and searching for new business opportunities.

Position title: Sales Promoter (1 yr contract)
Location: Little India
Working days: 6 days per week, 1 weekday off
Working hours: 1pm – 10pm (1 hr meal break)
Salary :$1,500 basic + Incentive $400 + Commission (0.5 to 5%) = Gross possible up to $2400-2500

Job Responsibilities
  • Listening and understanding customers’ needs, assist them to find the perfect product for their needs.
  • Constantly building product knowledge and delivering this knowledge in engaging ways.
  • Setting up attractive product displays and promotional booths.
  • Delivering presentations and demonstrations to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Distributing samples and providing feedback for improvement to the management team.
  • Following up with customers and providing guidance on product selection.
  • Meeting daily targets and submitting sales reports.
  • Networking with relevant stakeholders.
  • Searching for new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Experience in promoting FMCG/OTC products in chain pharmacies and departmental stores
  • Retailer experience, will be a plus as well – this is for our merchandising and inventory management requirement, which is part and parcel of a promoter role as well
  • Preferable with experience in retail
