A technology recruitment agency seeks a Debug Technician in Singapore. The role includes supporting engineers in testing server and rack products, executing tests, and troubleshooting failures. Candidates should hold a Diploma in Engineering and ideally have 1-3 years of experience, although those without experience are encouraged to apply. Strong team players with basic hardware knowledge are preferred. The position offers a 12-hour shift and requires physical capability for handling loads.
Position: Debug Technician
Shift: 12-hour shift (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am)
Work Pattern: 4 days work / 3 days rest → 3 days work / 4 days rest
AWS: 1 month
1. Hardware Knowledge & Debugging
Understanding of server components: BMC, BIOS, PCH, CPU, DIMM, PSU, Backplane, Fan Module, Riser Card.
Ability to perform hardware troubleshooting, such as:
No power-on issues
Debug card code reading
No display, no fan spin, or auto-restart issues
DIMM or CPU diagnostics
Familiar with PSU protection, power-on failures, fan failures.
Able to use a multimeter for electrical measurements.
Skilled in removing and replacing components (CPU, DIMM, PSU, fans, backplane, etc.).
2. Software & Tools
Basic Linux OS knowledge.
Familiar with MobaXterm or similar terminal tools.
Able to run basic test scripts or commands.
Experience with SSH or PuTTY.
