Data Trust Security Researcher (Graduate Hire)

Seagate Research Group (SRG) conducts research to transform Seagate’s considerable technical expertise, innovation, and manufacturing excellence to develop innovative technologies for the rapidly growing datasphere. SRG - Data Trust (DT) Vector focuses on increasing security & privacy capabilities to anchor Seagate as the industry leader of trustworthy storage solutions.

About the role - you will:

The candidate will be involved in projects involving proof of concepts applying cryptographical algorithms (PQC and non-PQC), protocols and memory safe languages for embedded environments. The successful candidate will work with the global team of Seagate Research around one or more of the following: Cryptography, Product and data security. The candidate is expected to apply his/her knowledge to research threat landscape and state of the art technologies to address the threats.

About you:
  • Good knowledge on cryptography, standards/protocols, memory safe programming languages
  • Good team player, can-do attitude and willing to learn
Your experience includes:
  • Experience with implementing or creating cryptographic algorithms
  • Experience in embedded system involving security projects
  • Embedded system coding or programming
  • Biometric security systems
  • FPGA development for cryptography or security projects
Location:

The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work.
