Job summary

A technology consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support enterprise-scale data pipelines and analytics platforms. This role involves hands-on work with cloud infrastructure and governance tools to ensure high-quality data delivery for business insights. Candidates should have extensive experience with SQL, Apache Spark, and AWS services. The successful applicant will work in an Agile environment and is expected to contribute to designing and maintaining data governance practices. This is a contract position with opportunities for renewal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark and SQL.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, particularly S3 and EC2.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with Presto and distributed query engines.
• Experience with data governance tools, e.g., Collibra.
• Experience developing dashboards with Tableau.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Apache Spark.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries for data manipulation.
• Utilise AWS services for scalable data processing.
• Implement data governance practices using Collibra.
• Orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Build and maintain data pipelines with Hive SQL.
• Perform data analysis using Superset and Presto.
• Develop Tableau dashboards for data visualisation.
