Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Central/West, Singapore

Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Engineer for one of our esteemed clients in the Digital Transformation Division to design, build, and maintain enterprise data architecture. The role ensures data is secure, reliable, and analytics-ready, while driving performance optimisation, automation, and scalable delivery for analytics and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and ELT/ETL best practices.
• Build and optimize data marts to support dashboards and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, cost, and scalability, ensuring enterprise security compliance.
• Administer Snowflake accounts, roles, warehouses, and data-sharing configurations.
• Integrate metadata and lineage flows into Alation and implement CI/CD pipelines for automation and deployment.
• Develop and maintain validation checks, profiling, and error-handling logic to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, AI teams, and Business Analysts to operationalise dashboards and machine-learning outputs.
• Mentor junior engineers in coding, documentation, and data-architecture best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years’ experience in data engineering or platform development roles.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, and metadata catalogues (e.g., Alation, Collibra).
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and data-orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, cloud-warehouse architecture, and CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with public-sector data governance and compliance.
• Experienced in collaborating across analytics, AI, and IT functions.
