Job summary

A freight forwarding company is seeking a Customer Service Executive in Singapore. The ideal candidate should have experience in air or ocean freight forwarding and be proficient in MS Office. Responsibilities include attending to customer inquiries, booking shipments, and collaborating with the Import/Export Department. A GCE ‘O’ Level and bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin are required. This role offers a salary of up to $4000 with performance bonuses.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in freight forwarding (Air/Sea freight).
  • All candidates are welcome, but freight forwarding experience is required.
  • Able to converse with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to customer enquiries and booking of shipments.
  • Arrange space bookings and monitor deliveries.
  • Collaborate with Import/Export Department for execution of jobs.
  • Prepare pre-alerts for shipping arrivals and departures.
  • Ensure compliance with customer special requests.
  • Maintain good filing systems and improve customer relations.

Skills

Experience in freight forwarding

Customer Service Executive (MUST HAVE AIR / OCEAN FREIGHT EXPERIENCE) - ALL WELCOME
  • Location: Tampines Industrial Crescent
  • Working hours: 5 working days, Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30
  • Salary: Basic up to $4000 + Performance Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Industry: Freight Forwarding Industry
Main Responsibilities
  • Attending to customer enquiries and booking of shipments
  • Arrange for space bookings and monitoring
  • Liaise closely with Import/Export Department for smooth execution of all jobs
  • Preparation of all pre‑alerts to all respective stations prior to arrival and departure of shipping
  • Check arriving and uplift details each morning and keep all customers informed of the acquired information
  • Check and ensure customers’ special requests/handling are duly complied with
  • Deal with the respective parties effectively & efficiently, using diplomacy and negotiation skills
  • Maintain good filing systems and proper housekeeping
  • Build and improve good working relationships with internal and external customers
Requirements
  • All welcome – must have experience in freight forwarding
  • 2 years experience in freight forwarding (Air/Sea freight) is a must
  • GCE ‘O’ Level & above
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Bilingual in both English and Mandarin to converse with Mandarin speaking clients
