Job description

Our client is a fintech platform that provide digital working capital solutions to SMEs.

As part of the global risk, credit & compliance team, you will be the contribution to the risk policy setup, credit underwriting competence development and data driven risk innovation to enable business growth. You will be expected to have a thorough understanding of the client’s profile, supply chain operation and funding pain points, plus deep knowledge of supply chain financing products, solid risk underwriting skills and great passion for data driven risk model innovation to provide high quality & efficiency credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support to establish overall credit risk management framework and on-going monitor its implementation to ensure risk performance excellence.
• Underwrite risk of suppliers and international buyers and continually improve underwriting quality and efficiency by leveraging tech tools, alternative data, and innovative methodology.
• Actively manage credit risk exposure of designated portfolio by performing risk assessment and monitoring on counterparties and enabling business growth by executing risk mitigation solutions that are within the company’s risk appetite and credit policy.
• Continually explore and identify external data sources in various regions to enrich our underwriting and rating.
• Actively engage with external stakeholders including funding partners, insurers to gain buy-in upon our risk framework for a smooth asset distribution.
• Deliver quality and monitor risk reporting upon portfolio level and country level, and complete ad hoc project in specific area or country.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in accounting, statistic, math, computer science, finance or economics etc.
• 7+ years credit underwriting in financial institutions or fintech focusing on SMEs.
• Experiences of cross-border trade finance, receivable finance, factoring, credit insurance, supply chain solutions, SME coverage, or relevant domain expertise is preferred.
• Able to identify, analyze and solve problems in a very structured way.
• Independent, self-driven, matured, resilient, able to handle pressure.
• Fast learner, team spirit, adapt to multi-culture environment.
