Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking a Cost Accountant to support global cost and inventory accounting. The role includes analyzing production cost variances, processing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with Singapore tax regulations. Candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, relevant costing experience, and knowledge of Oracle systems is advantageous. As an up and coming powerhouse within their field, they are constantly looking to deliver excellence. Trusted within the manufacturing sector, they are currently looking for a Cost Accountant.

About The Role

The role involves supporting global cost and inventory accounting functions, ensuring accurate cost capture through timely job closures and work order management. It includes analyzing production cost variances, reconciling inventory and performing cost roll‑ups for new materials and components. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable invoices with correct GL coding, assisting in month‑end closings through journal entries and accruals, and maintaining selected balance sheet schedules. The role supports quarterly GST submissions in compliance with Singapore tax regulations and contributes to annual external audit preparations as well.

Skills And Qualifications

You should have a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, relevant experience in manufacturing costing and general accounting. Knowledge on Oracle systems will be advantageous. You should have good communication skills, a positive attitude, self‑motivator and a team player.
