Job description

A leading international law firm is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate to join its Singapore-based capital markets team. This role is particularly suited to someone around the two‑year PQE mark from a peer firm, or roughly four years PQE from a Big Four law firm. You will work closely with senior lawyers across the region on a broad mix of equity capital markets transactions, with a notable pipeline of South‑East Asian mandates and several imminent Indian IPOs. The team needs someone who can operate with confidence, manage workstreams independently, and communicate clearly with international clients.

While the focus leans towards ECM, exposure to DCM is beneficial, and the team values associates who can comfortably navigate cross‑border deal structures in both areas. Strong English drafting and client management skills are essential due to the deal teams active engagement with diverse stakeholders across South‑East Asia. Whilst not mandatory, Mandarin language capability is a plus, particularly given the teams regional collaboration with colleagues in North Asia, though it is not a prerequisite. The hiring partners are particularly keen on candidates who can take ownership of matters, slot into a high‑performing regional practice, and support a busy, growing workflow that broadly spreads across the SE Asia region.

This platform offers excellent visibility, the chance to work on headline regional offerings, and meaningful interaction with senior lawyers who are recognised leaders in the capital markets space. You’ll gain strong support, exposure to sophisticated work, and the opportunity to grow quickly within a high‑calibre environment that values initiative, upward mobility, and long‑term development.
