Cook - Basilico Kitchen (Conrad Singapore Orchard) (HOT0BD5P)

Work Locations: Conrad Singapore Orchard, 1 Cuscaden Rd, Singapore 249715

Hilton offers opportunities worldwide. This role involves cooking under supervision, maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen, and contributing to the guest experience.

Responsibilities
  • Complete and ensure all work in assigned areas meets the highest cleanliness standards and adheres to Hilton policies and HACCP guidelines.
  • Prepare and plate dishes according to established Hilton guidelines and food standards.
  • Set up and complete mis en place for breakfast, lunch or dinner according to the schedule.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and keep it clean after use.
  • Read and understand all orders.
  • Prepare and present food on a timely basis according to Hilton standards.
  • Respect and accommodate servers’ requests regarding guest preferences.
  • Make requisitions, obtain signatures, submit, and collect items needed for the day and the following day with assistance from a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Follow standard recipes and presentations to maintain quality.
  • Clean all work areas and equipment at the end of each shift; keep areas clean and organized.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude toward changes.
  • Report any accidents immediately.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other employees and keep lines of communication with supervisors.
  • Respond properly in hotel emergencies or safety situations.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Reading, writing and verbal proficiency in English.
  • Able to work under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation.
  • Good basic knowledge of local, western and international cuisine.
  • Flexible with working hours; able to work morning/evening shifts, weekends and public holidays.
