About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contract administration and commercial management across our construction projects. The Contracts Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all contractual, financial, and legal aspects of our projects are properly managed, while driving cost efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of contract administration, from tender to project completion.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, legal requirements, and company policies.
- Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution, including preparation of supporting documentation.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow in coordination with the project and finance teams.
- Evaluate and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and alignment on contractual matters.
- Provide advice to project managers and senior management on contract and procurement strategies.
- Support continuous improvement in commercial and contract management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., PSSCOC, FIDIC, or equivalent) and relevant legal frameworks.
- Proven experience in handling claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes
- Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, SISV, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Experience in large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
