Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to provide mentorship and guidance to teams, enhance procurement processes, and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, at least 10 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership and communication skills. International travel is required for project support.

Qualifications

  • 10 years' experience in quantity surveying works preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of risk analysis and risk management.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Quantity Surveying teams.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Quantity Surveying teams at both headquarters and project sites, supporting the development of effective strategies for procurement, head contract administration, subcontractor management, and general project administration.
  • Deliver training and mentoring to project teams on standard procedures and best practices, aiming to enhance the quality of cost reporting and procurement processes across projects. Organize and lead training sessions as necessary.
  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the company's project controls systems to meet evolving project requirements, with a focus on enhancing reporting capabilities and optimizing administrative workflows.
  • Participate as a member of the Management Team, contributing to strategic and operational planning.
  • Engage in industry forums, workshops, and training sessions to stay updated on current legislation, regulatory codes, and contractual best practices.
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Actively contribute to the innovation and review of corporate policies and practices.
  • Collaborate and maintain effective communication with project teams to ensure full compliance with all HSE responsibilities.
  • Travel internationally, as needed, to support projects in accordance with the responsibilities outlined above.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or related field.
  • Prefarable 10 years' experience in quantity surveying works.
  • Excellent knowledge of risk analysis and risk management.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
