A global advisory firm in Singapore seeks a Senior Consultant with a strong background in real estate and quantitative analysis. The role involves conducting research, guiding junior staff, and managing client relationships. Candidates should have 7-10 years of experience, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. A degree in a related field is required. This position may involve some travel.
ROLE
Senior Consultants are experienced members of the Advisory team, working with a wide range of clients to evaluate the market and economic feasibility of hotels, mixed-use resorts, and leisure destinations around the world. The Senior Consultant is an upper-intermediate position for a real estate professional, who is highly numerate and comfortable with quantitative data and analysis. The Senior Consultant is responsible for the delivery of assignments, guiding junior staff, and liaising directly with clients. The Senior Consultant reports to the Studio Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaboratively plans and performs research and data collection activities
• Designs and supports engaging workshops with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders
• Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to determine impact on the client’s development opportunity
• Uses interdisciplinary thinking and collaboration to ground all ideas in research insights and constraints
• Manages day-to-day operations for projects, including staffing, fee tracking and forecasting, and client meetings
• Guides Analysts and other team members on projects and shares experience, encourages original thinking, and helps ensure alignment throughout the project
• Possesses a broad understanding of geography, economics, and global affairs
• Coordinates project administration and internal corporate support
• Works closely with the Advisory Studio Director and team to ensure project success
• Helps strengthen and grow existing client relationships
EXPECTATIONS IN THE ROLE
• Experienced with research methodologies and activities, along with working with both qualitative and quantitative data
• Graphically visualizes information and ideas, effectively uses charts and graphics to represent and communicate findings and complex ideas
• Strong and persuasive writer, able to describe work process clearly and succinctly, options for consideration, findings, recommendations, and communications
• Demonstrates strong collaboration skills to achieve extraordinary outcomes
• Some travel may be required
REQUIREMENTS
• A degree in real estate, economics, tourism, or related field
• 7-10 years of relevant professional experience
• A background in real estate/hotel development and/or consulting
• Strong organizational and analytical skills required
• Ability to work in a team environment under pressure
• Critical and creative thinker
• Clear communicator and presenter of ideas, findings and/or point of view
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Highly numerate and competent with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet modelling
• Well-travelled with a broad understanding of geography, economics and global affairs
• Organizational skills are essential and good coordination of project administration and internal corporate support
• A passion for leisure and tourism, and a solid understanding of the hospitality sector
• Second language is an advantage
