Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a candidate to oversee day-to-day site operations, including planning and manpower deployment for the site team. Responsibilities include liaising with consultants to resolve site issues, coordinating subcontractors to ensure timely work progress, managing site housekeeping duties, and implementing EHS action plans. Ideal candidates will ensure timely delivery of materials and the availability of equipment needed for site operations. This role calls for proactive collaboration with various stakeholders in the construction field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day site operations, including planning works and manpower deployment for the site team.
• Liaise with consultants to resolve site issues related to drawings and construction schedules.
• Coordinate and support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely progress of works.
• Plan and manage site housekeeping with site engineers and supervisors.
• Organize EHS action plans as directed by the Safety Officer or Project Manager.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials according to quality and quantities.
• Ensure availability of plant and equipment for site operations.
• Prepare monthly progress claims for the QS in collaboration with subcontractors.
• Attend necessary site and technical meetings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day site operations, including planning of works and manpower deployment for the site team and subcontractors.
• Liaise with consultants to resolve site issues related to drawings, construction schedules, and as-built conditions.
• Coordinate, monitor, and support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely progress of works.
• Plan and manage site housekeeping by coordinating responsibilities among site engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Organize and implement EHS action plans as directed by the Safety Officer or Project Manager.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials (e.g. steel, cement) in accordance with specified quality and quantities.
• Ensure plant and equipment (e.g. cranes, pumps, air compressors) are available as scheduled for site operations, including preparation of daily schedules when required.
• Ensure monthly progress claim information is prepared on time for the QS and jointly evaluate subcontractor claims with the Site Engineer, Architectural Coordinator, and Site Quantity Surveyor.
• Attend consultant site meetings, technical meetings, and subcontractor meetings as required.
