Requirements

A successful candidate has:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in writing, research, and media-intensive positions such as political campaigns, media government, agencies, or similar organizations.
• Experience placing national print and broadcast stories; experience with ethnic media outlets is a plus.
• Experience developing media strategies and building relationships with reporters.
• Strong writing and research skills with thorough knowledge of AP Style.
• Working knowledge of social media strategies for communications campaigns.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and handle competing deadlines.

We prefer that the Associate work in at least a hybrid capacity but are open to the position being fully remote. This position may require occasional night and weekend hours.

Even if working entirely in person, the person in this position must be able to communicate with colleagues and partners via phone including conference and video calls, and written communication, such as email. The position requires the ability to work on a computer for all or part of the workday.
